Oktoberfest: Only Beer and Bretzel, No Smoking
In a surprising move for Germany, the state of Bavaria has passed a ban on smoking in all bars, cafes and restaurants- and starting in September 2011, at the famous Oktoberfest in Munich. 61% of voters in Bavaria supported the ban, a surprisingly large percentage given that 33% of German adults smoke cigarettes.
